Work Schedule: -100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. -

We are seeking a Clinical Speech Language Pathologist (Voice) to:


  • Work at a nationally known state of the art Voice and Swallow Center. -
  • Work clinically and academically with a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians and speech language pathologists
  • Perform diagnostics including: acoustics, aerodynamics, stroboscopy, and flexible endoscopy
  • Develop new programs and outreach opportunities
  • Contribute to learning experiences for residents, medical students, speech pathologist and clinical fellows. -
  • Be involved with clinical research and continuing education.
  • Work in a cutting-edge clinical environment at multiple locations throughout UW Health Systems.

    Education:
    Minimum - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
    Work Experience:
    Minimum - Experience in diagnostics including acoustics, aerodynamics, stroboscopy, high speed imaging, flexible endoscopy, videofluoroscopy, and high resolution manometry. Experience in providing voice, airway, resonance, and swallow therapy.
    Preferred - Three (3) or more years of experience in subspecialized voice, airway, resonance, and swallow medical setting preferred. Contribution to local or national professional boards and committees (such as ASHA or state-level speech and hearing associations). Record of presentation at national and regional professional conferences.
    Licenses and Certifications:
    Minimum - WI Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license. ASHA certified (CCC-SLP) or eligible for certification. Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
    Preferred - BCSS preferred for swallow subspecialty.
