Join the hospital in Wisconsin!We are seeking a Registered Nurse to: To support all units within the American Family Children's Hospital to cover sick leaves, unit acuity changes and leave of absences. Provide care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents and families, coping with complex medical diagnosis and disease processes. Utilize a wide range of nursing and critical thinking skills to support the patients and families at American Family Children's Hospital.Education:Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing.Work Experience:Minimum - One (1) year relevant pediatric nursing experience or two (2) years of recent adult inpatient nursing experience.Preferred - One (1) year ICU experience.Licenses and Certifications:Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification.Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area. Experience in teaching patients and families. Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members. Demonstrates ability to use pediatric critical thinking skills. Demonstrates ability to provide developmentally appropriate patient and family centered care.Physical Requirements:Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.Work Schedule:This is an Day/Night position that includes (12) twelve-hour shifts: 0 & 1. Weekend and holiday rotation required.
