W ork Schedule : This is a part-time, 80% FTE position scheduled
to work 32 hours per week. The scheduled shifts will be Monday
through Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Hours may vary based on the
needs of the department.Pay : UW Health offers a competitive
compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant
to the position will be taken into consideration when determining
the starting base pay.External hires may be eligible for a $ 2,400

and family-centered care.We are seeking a Medical Assistant to:
- Join the medical specialists at the UW Carbone Cancer Center
who are proud to be nationally recognized for delivering the best
in cancer care.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary experts in palliative care,
nutrition, genetics and health psychology to customize each
patient's plan of care.
- Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family
- Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness and education.
- Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document
chief complaint, medications and allergies and administer
medications and treatments.Education :Minimum -
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or
Licensure as an LPN or Completion of the UW Health Medical
Assistant Apprenticeship program or Completion of CCMA as a UW
Health employee or
- In lieu of the above requirements, two (2) years of recent
Medical Assistant experience and current CMA, RMA or CCMA
certificationWork Experience :Preferred - One (1) year of
experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPNLicenses and
Certifications :Minimum -
- Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
Certification must be obtained within one (1) year of hire
- If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN
licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
