Under the direction of the Director, the candidate will work across the institution to coordinate survivorship efforts and research. Additionally, the candidate would assist with outreach efforts focused on survivorship across the state. The Cancer Survivorship Research Program will encourage, facilitate, and conduct research to address the needs of cancer survivors and their families in the context of health system innovation. Key goals include the development of cancer survivorship research in the context of clinical practice, psychosocial and quality of life interventions, population and health services policy and knowledge translation via in-person and web-based training for healthcare professionals. The Program will enhance the development, execution and translation of cancer survivorship research at local, regional, and national levels. Successful candidates will have a strong interest in population health and disparities as they relate to the cancer survivorship and the cancer care continuum. They will have a mix of project management, writing, research methodology, and understanding of health systems. In particular, the candidate will have personal initiative, ability to work independently and in a timely manner, and strong organizational skills. Master's degree in public health, or related field, is preferred. Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in project management and coordination in a health related field required. Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral communication, and Excellent verbal and written skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint are required. Knowledge of clinical/health research principles and regulations preferred. Experience with medical record abstraction, health informatics and/or cancer health outcomes preferred. Experience with providing staff support to multidisciplinary teams preferred. Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years' experience is required for appointment at the senior level.
