Job Description:

Seeking an innovative Manager with a unique blend of knowledge in both infants through early childhood development and family engagement/social work practices. Position is based in the City of Portage 35 min N of Madison. Coordinates home-based services for Early Head Start and Head Start children from infancy to age five in a 5 county rural area. Also oversees home based services to pregnant mothers. Responsible for the supervision and professional development of Parent Educator Supervisors and Head Start Specialists in the fields of Health, Family Engagement, and Disability/Mental Health Services. Monitors and reviews all services/paperwork in order to maintain compliance with Head Start standards. Analyzes child and family data for continuous program improvement and prepares reports and recommendations based on data. Monitors the home based budget to approve appropriate expenditures. Must have a thorough knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for children 0-5, the ability to mentor and train staff, knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and Reflective Supervision or ability to learn these quickly, ability to design and incorporate innovative practices for children, families, and pregnant mothers and demonstrates leadership skills through a strength-based focus. Salary range: $45,000 to $49,687. Travel within the 5 counties and limited evening work may be required. Full-time, full-year position; must have a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Services, Social Work or related degree. Excellent fringe benefit package.
