Edgewood Campus School has exclusively retained The QTI Group to
conduct the search for their next President. Position
Description
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President is the school's
chief executive officer. The President is accountable for bringing
Edgewood's Catholic, Dominican identity to life; animating its
mission; assuring its academic quality; and enhancing its financial
viability. Following are elements of the role of Edgewood Campus
School President: Leadership
- Inspire the Edgewood Campus School community - board members,
teachers, students, families and supporters - to achieve the
mission
- Through formation, enhance the School's Catholic Dominican
identity
- Build a welcoming school environment in which a diverse
community of students, including those of lesser means, can
achieve
- Support and guide the principal in developing a strong
curriculum and leading teachers
- Enhance the School's viability through sound financial
management
- Lead the School's fundraising to maintain tuition
affordability
- Lead any capital campaigns to assure a compelling educational
facility
- Prepare - and manage to - an annual budget
- Assure that financial reports are completed and audited
- Preserve the operations of the school's facility Governance
- Serve as a member of - and report to - the Board and its
committees
- Build strong relationships with Board leadership and the
Sponsors Council
- Assure that actions taken are in alignment with the bylaws of
Edgewood Campus School
- Govern the campus in collaboration with other campus
presidents
- Maintain internal handbooks as necessary Planning
- Provide leadership in the development of a long-range strategic
plan
- Lead recruiting of a diverse community of students
Communication
- Provide constant communication within the school community
- Maintain deep relationships with the Sisters and Sponsors
Council
- Build positive relationships with diocesan officers, including
the bishop
- Build active relationships with ECS alumni and donor base
- Represent ECS to the outside community
- Build relationships with community groups and the City of
Madison
- Build and deliver a marketing plan Requisite Education,
Attributes, and Experience
- A member of the Catholic community
- Committed to Catholic educational identity, the Edgewood
mission, and the values of the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa
- Experience in the education field preferred; committed to
faith-based education
- Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, or
other relevant areas of study; master's degree preferred
- Financial and operational acumen in a non-profit
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, including experience with
major gift solicitation, capital campaigns, annual campaigns,
special events, and grant proposals
- Excellent organizational development, marketing, communication,
and administration skills are essential
- Ability to foster a healthy organizational culture, to
encourage teamwork and collaboration; strong interpersonal skills
that include the ability to inspire and motivate; effective at
conflict management
- Commitment to serve as ambassador for Edgewood Campus School in
