Job Descriptions:ABOUT USThe Worldwide Foundation (WFCU)
partners with the World Council (WOCCU) to realize the vision of
expanding financial inclusion worldwide through a vibrant and
growing global credit union movement. WFCU supports this vision by
serving as the international bridge between the U.S. credit union
system and their international peers. ABOUT THE ROLEThe WFCU
Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for managing operational
aspects of one WFCU business line: philanthropic giving. In
partnership with WFCUs Executive Director, the role will execute
WFCUs annual philanthropy campaign, including coordinating tactics
to meet its overall annual philanthropic fundraising target as well
as those of WFCUs network programs and relief fund. The role is
part of the WFCU team, as a unit within the umbrella of WOCCU. WHAT
YOU WILL DOCampaign Planning
- Co-design the WFCU annual philanthropy plan with the WFCU team
& board.
- Co-own a philanthropy funding target of $2.5m for FY23.
- Give input to and identify existing and new philanthropy
metrics.
- Contributes thought leadership to new philanthropy tactics to
increase donor engagement.Campaign Execution
- Develop and deploy key WFCU fundraising tactics as part of the
FY23 philanthropy plan.
- Coordinate campaign messaging, case for support design, and key
collateral with the WFCU Marketing Manager.
- Collaborate with WFCU Associate to ensure clean data,
analytics, donation experience, and a moves management process
within the WFCU CRM.
- Secures sponsorship support of WFCU from credit unions and
vendors.
- Support the growth of WFCUs Champion Circle program, its value
proposition and execution.
- Support the growth of a new WFCU individual giving
program.
- Support the growth of GWLNs membership program by collaborating
with GWLN staff.
- Coordinate monthly philanthropy meetings with the WFCU
team.Relationship Building
- Develop strategic, two-way, face-to-face relationships with new
and existing WFCU champion donors, asking them at the right time
for multi-year financial support and offering the highest level of
stewardship, resulting in long-term relationships.
- Offer communication and presentation of WFCUs work to WFCU
champions, ranging from 1:1 meeting to presenting WFCUs work at
industry events.
- Work with peers across WFCU to create high-level events for
champions to engage with.
- Develop creative and relevant philanthropic journeys for WFCU
champion donors.
- Create & implement a robust prospecting plan that realizes new
philanthropy for WFCU.
- Serve as a member of the events management team to weave a
spirt of philanthropy through two key WFCU events: the GAC
Cooperative Voices & WFCU Gala @ the WCUC.This position has no
supervisory responsibilities. This list of duties and
responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and can be
expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that
management deems necessary.Required Experience:WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Bachelors degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, sales,
or equivalent.
- Three years minimum of professional experience in a fund
development role in a nonprofit/ charitable foundation or a
for-profit organization.
- Demonstrated success in managing fundraising campaigns,
fundraising tactics, and a demonstrated ability to measure success
using fundraising metrics.
- Demonstrated success working with digital fundraising tools,
including CRM products.
- Excellent written, editing, proofreading and in-person
communication skills, ability to work well with diverse teams.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Aptitude with dynamic storytelling and stage presence is a
plus.
- Able to prioritize, manage and handle multiple projects and
deadlines.
- Ability to be positive, self-motivated, reliable project
manager, who collaborates with internal and external stakeholders
to meet quarterly and annual goals.
- Experience with the credit union sector & U.S. credit union
fundraising community is a plus.]
- Fluency in English is required. Bilingual skills not required
but a plus. Ability to craft messaging that is simple, yet clear
and inspiring.
- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities to deliver work
that aligns to WFs purpose and vision.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficiency
with database software and contact management systems.
Certification in Adobe Design Suite preferred.
- CFRE certification preferred.
- Domestic & International travel will be required as needed.
Attendance at two annual events will be required: CUNAs
Governmental Affairs Conference (February) & the World Credit Union
Conference (July).
- Valid US passport required. Up to sixty (60) days of domestic
travel may be required.
