How will you make an impact?The Firm Administrator oversee a wide range of activities with involvement in all phases of administration, personnel, finances, facilities, and marketing. The Firm Administrator puts the firm's needs first and works closely with the Managing Partner on firm-wide policy setting, problem solving and decision making. This individual in this position will serve as a member of the executive committee and is primarily responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the day-to-day operations of the firm, and for directing the implementation of firm policies.The Firm Administrator will work with office managing partners (OMPs) in preparing firm operating and capital budgets; work with OMPs to direct spending of approved budgeted items and assist with the controllership functions of the firm, including approving all expenditures, signing checks, monitoring cash flow and accounts receivable. They will also oversee the internal accounting functions and procedures, including preparation of firm's monthly and annual financial statements. Evaluate and review insurance coverage comparisons and make recommendations for any modifications to coverage. The individual in this position will also be responsible for monitoring client due dates to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, communicating deadlines and workload conflicts to partners as needed to ensure timely completion of work. This individual will provide partners and managers with periodic financial and practice management reports as requested.The Firm Administrator will supervise the team's workflows and workloads, to facilitate balanced workloads for our employees. They will develop training programs and career paths for our administrative staff, review ongoing performance and determine the compensation program for administration. This position will also maintain professional license records and CPE records for accounting staff, and file licensure reports as necessary. This position will oversee the firm library, including organization and cataloging, stay abreast of trends in office automation, and recommend improvements to existing systems to ensure the utilization of the most cost-effective equipment and software. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or related fieldAt least three (3) years of experience supervising and managing personnelA minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Controller with responsibility for budgeting, finance, and time and billingPreferably experience in a professional service industryWorking knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, well-developed financial analysis capabilities, and demonstrated ability to manage microcomputer operations and applications Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, and flexibleAbility to operate independently and self-manage projectsSound administrative skills.
