Matter...Develop and improve the manufacturing processes with the
assistance of Technical Services, Quality, Safety departments, and
the rest of the management team.Support plant leadership in
overseeing the overall activities of the manufacturing facilities
of the plant to ensure customer orders are planned, scheduled,
produced, and shipped safely at the lowest landed cost and
standards to meet the customers' requirements and service level
agreements while maintaining corporate established quality
standards.Analyze plant production operations and key metrics to
maintain operational efficiencies within the department.Is
responsible for expense management and control, including labor,
and overhead costs. Meet and exceed plant Profit & Losses
objectives with a continuous emphasis on efficiency improvement and
loss minimization.Utilize continuous improvement techniques and a
Management Operating Structure (MOS) to identify root cause, risk
mitigation and efficiency improvements while jointly working with
other departmental leaders for the betterment of the overall
business.Collect and report reliable information to measure the
performance of the plant and of the various plant departments as
required.Organize and plan daily/weekly production schedules and
communicate changes effectively between the milk procurement,
production and packaging teams. Schedule the optimum amount of
supervisory coverage and ensure personnel coverage to meet the
labor standards determined by the product schedule and budget.
Provide supervisory coverage on different shifts as needed.Is
responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements and
guidelines.Monitor and oversee the quality of the finished product
by maintaining the equipment and facility in optimum sanitary
condition. Coordinate with Quality team at both the plant level and
corporate level to prepare for Audits.Responsible for understanding
and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and
Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are
manufactured in a sanitary production environment and delivered
with superior protection to our customers and consumers. Actively
lead by example and comply with the Company's Code of Ethics as a
condition of employment. This includes leading accountability and
support of our established policies, standards and
specifications.Work together professionally in a team environment
with coworkers and other department personnel.Support other
departments as needed and perform other duties as required by
management.You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have...BS in
Food or Dairy Science, Microbiology, Business and/or equivalent
combination of education and experience; minimum of 3-5 years'
experience in a managerial role relevant to the dairy or cheese
manufacturing industry.Strong analytical and organizational skills
with attention to detail.Strong communication skills and
interpersonal skills.Above-average understanding of costs relating
to dairy manufacturing and packaging (budgetary experience
preferred).Ability to work different shifts and provide supervisory
coverage based on plant needs due to projects, issues/challenges,
equipment improvements or newly commissioned, as needed.Ability to
motivate a large workforce through strong leadership, interpersonal
and team-building skills to impact team members' development toward
becoming stronger departmental leaders.Proficient in Microsoft
Office, Word, Excel, etc.Knowledge of SAP to drive financial
results is a plus.Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess
high degree of initiative, and work well under pressure.We Support
