Fitchburg, WI 53719The VP of Innovation leads business development and strategy, access, palliative care, and marketing in the development, implementation and management of programs, policies, and services to support Agrace operations. S/he helps to identify, analyze, evaluate, and champion strategies and initiatives that will deliver growth and transformation for Agrace. This position focuses on strategy development and alignment of programs, metrics, best practices, and services with the agency's strategic intent. The VP of Innovation serves as a key business partner and advisor to the board, and executive leadership team on census and sales, and business strategy.Responsibilities Leadership

  • Leads Agrace departments with vision and strategic oversight and promotes a culture that reflects the agency's values, encourages good performance, and rewards productivity.
  • Actively engages with fellow members of ELT to drive organization performance and cohesiveness.
  • Views membership on ELT as primary responsibility, building effective working relationships with other members.
  • Hires, develops, and oversees strong directors and managers capable of executing strategy and operational performance within their areas of responsibility. Develops future leadership within the organization.
  • Acts as a role model for leaders and staff with enthusiasm, focus, compassion and fun. Strategy, Planning, Growth, and Execution
    • Contributes to driving a culture of innovation by exploring trends, innovations, and business opportunities that align with corporate strategy.
    • Leverage external resources to successfully anticipate new market forces, changing reimbursement policies, and competitive threats within the post-acute continuum of care.
    • Create executive-level and Board level updates to influence decisions about new projects / initiatives that enable Agrace to succeed.
    • Provide thought leadership on resolving complex, ambiguous business problems and provide fact-based, leading-edge thinking, frameworks, and business tools.
    • Lead projects and major innovation initiatives with other leaders for successful design and implementation. Translate strategy into specific business initiatives and develop tools to measure and evaluate them.
    • Partner with Finance, Business Intelligence, and other teams to design compelling analyses and build business cases to inform strategic tradeoffs and decisions. Oversight
      • Leads Access for census growth and market dominance with systemic mechanisms to continually manage census.
        • Ensures Average Daily Census (ADC) targets are achieved to meet annual revenue projections. Provides oversight for all Access departments to meet annual growth expectations.
        • Ensures Access protocols remain in compliance with regulatory guidelines, and state and federal law.
        • Ensures effective and positive working relationships between Access, HomeCare, IPUs, and Hospice Providers.
        • Oversees Marketing such that it is in sync with business strategies and drives enhanced awareness of Agrace's programs, services, and quality.
        • Develops business strategy and leads business development team in proposal, contracting and operationalizing new programs.
          • In collaboration with the Director of Business development establishes and maintains a service oriented, customer focused sales forces to meet or exceed target revenue in all services lines and business entities.
          • Oversees Supportive Care to ensure community-based palliative care compliments Agrace's other programmatic offerings, is offered in a standardized and efficient manner, and is a feeder to the organization's hospice program.Qualifications
            • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related area from an accredited institution is required.
            • Minimum of 5 years of prior leadership experience in healthcare field.
            • Miniumum of 8-10 years of relevant leadership and progressive supervisory experience in a health care setting is desirable, specifically in strategic planning.
