Job Purpose Responsibility for setting the strategy and implementing process improvements within material control and inventory management in manufacturing sites. This role has accountability for inventory management and material control leadership within the manufacturing facilities and surrounding property, practicing safety protocol in support of all material movements and transfers between site locations. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement inventory strategies to include inventory analysis, physical inventory planning/roadmap, and auditing the accurate count of inventoryImprove overall visibility and identification of inventory in bulk storage and point of use bin locations, aligning with manufacturing operations.Implement key KPI's in support of increasing inventory record accuracy within the manufacturing facility.Institute visual programs throughout manufacturing facilities that will enable inventory to be stored in an organized and orderly manner, practicing FIFO inventory methods where appropriate.Establish visual lineside inventory locations and/or supermarkets to create an inventory replenishment system in support of manufacturing.Implement an inventory accuracy program that encompasses daily/weekly cycle count system and review. - Work with the Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Production, and Supply Chain for sustainable cycle counts of components utilizing an ABC classification.Lead a vision for continuous improvement in inventory control that will support timely and accurate movement/transfers of material to multiple site locations.Determine and manage staffing levels within receiving, material control, and shipping, ensuring that personnel are trained and have the required skill sets to execute actions.Establish and achieve inventory accuracy targets and design improvement opportunities, including root cause analysis.Strategic development of programs and projects, which involves determining targets, deliverables, and timelines, developing a plan, and managing to the plan, coordinating and leading meetings, preparing next steps and status reports; working with team members to resolve issuesLead and manage multiple, complex work streams within and/or across program(s) and collaborate with various departments in a non-repetitive roleAbove is a list of the most important responsibilities and functions, which are essential to the position. - Employees must be able to perform these essential functions satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. - Accommodations will be evaluated and provided to eligible employees on a case by case basis, depending on the employees medical restrictions, work availability, the nature of the position, the positions essential functions and other relevant factors.Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar discipline. Licenses/Certifications: APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, or equivalent preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in large scale manufacturing operations within the supply chain inventory field Experience at improving material movement throughout a facility from beginning to end Strong inventory management background and excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated qualification in inventory control or inventory management systems or equivalent Success building high-performing teams and leading diverse groups through demanding schedules Ability to lead without direct control Strong financial business acumen Experience with technology systems that can track and analyze inventory Core Competencies: Fearless relationship leadership and conflict resolution skills, with a proven track record of positively improving a business or function collaborating, influencing, and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners. Extensive experience in program management skills, and process improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment with proven ability to manage multiple demands successfully and within a matrixed organization Ability to lead multiple initiatives and manage through change Quick and creative learner Strong process orientation and analytical/problem solving skills Excellent strategic thinking, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills Team player, comfortable to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, within a cross-border remote team environment Resilient, self-motived, and able to work well under pressure Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking EnglishTraining: OrientationWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsPlease refer to the general office physical demands checklist for more information regarding the working conditions and physical requirements for this job.
