Job Description Position Summary: The Membership Director is
responsible for providing administrative and technical direction
for The Madison Club membership and marketing programs, services
and activities. This includes developing and marketing club events
and programs, membership recruitment and retention initiatives,
communications and publications, and event planning and
coordination. This position also oversees the administration of the
Madison Club Charitable Foundation. Duties and Responsibilities:
Membership Assists prospective members with questions about
membership. Ensures prospective members fulfill application
requirements and ensures their applications are processed according
to established procedures. Leads tours and orientation program for
new members; coordinates prospective member functions. Serves as
liaison to both current and prospective members. Processes new
member information. Assigns member numbers, enters member
information into database, mails new membership materials, send
thank you notes to sponsors, creates programs to reach out and get
referrals from sponsors, answers questions, creates new member
files and manages information changes for current members and
creates targeted emails based on member information. Follows up
with individuals resigning their membership or who have status
changes. Assists with maintaining contact with members and
effectively responds to member comments in accordance with club
standards, policies and rules; communicates ideas, feedback and
suggestions to the General Manager to continuously improve the
services provided to members and help assure member satisfaction.
Personally meets club members during visits to the club or members
office. Tracks and reports on membership numbers and trends to
General Manager and board of directors as needed. Works with
accounting department monthly to ensure new members and those with
status changes are billed accurately. Receives and assists with
resolving complaints from club members and guests as directed by
the General Manager. Assists with following up on telemarketing
efforts, member referrals, internal and external leads, media
articles, etc. Oversees Ambassador Program and meets/communicates
with Membership Committee to assign tasks, check in on statuses,
etc. Meets monthly to discuss and review strategies and successes.
Marketing/Promotion/Communication Coordinates the implementation of
a variety of marketing programs and activities to meet and maintain
club membership goals. Works closely with the General Manager to
develop new programs and incentives to recruit new members and
retain existing members. Manages different initiatives and works
with other staff members and outside vendors to implement. These
efforts may include development of new offers, discounts, internal
and outside advertising, mailings, etc. Assists with coordinating
and promoting all club events and activities including consulting
with members, internal staff and external personnel to establish
goals, confirm services required, etc. to ensure events are
promoted and carried out successfully. Logistical planning may
include such things as arranging for the purchase of tickets,
hiring entertainment, arranging for transportation to special
events, providing name badges, checking guests in at functions,
managing registration table, etc. Works closely with Marketing
Consultant and/or outside vendors to coordinates and administer
event marketing including advertising, press releases and
promotional materials such as newsletters, flyers, invitations,
brochures, special mailings, etc. Oversees and administers Overture
Center season ticket subscriptions. Serves as contact person for
the purchase of tickets. Picks up event tickets, coordinates with
members and Overture contacts. Sorts tickets and communicates
billing to accounting department. Represents The Club. Meets with
members and business contacts to develop new relationships on
behalf of the Club. Works to establish new trade relationships.
Assists with networking efforts and participates in community
activities; markets and promotes a positive image of The Club.
Madison Club Charitable Foundation Serves as Administrator for the
Madison Club Charitable Foundation. Develops agenda, keeps meeting
records/minutes, organizes meeting schedule, leads meetings as
needed, and meets with outside community groups to promote
advancement of the Foundation---s objectives. Serves as overall
point person for the Foundation. Fields questions about the
nomination process, upcoming events, etc. Represents the Foundation
in the community as needed. Looks for ways to strengthen
connections with the community on behalf of the Foundation. Helps
position the Madison Club and the Madison Club Charitable
Foundation as a civic-minded organizations. Creative/Design Works
with the Marketing Consultant and is an integral part of the
content, creation, design and layout of marketing and sales
publications. Is able to design and produce flyers, ads,
invitations and promotional materials. Ensures production schedules
meet deadlines. Helps develop content and ideas for the Club---s
monthly newsletter and additional publications for members, public
relations efforts, news and media events. Attends management and
staff meetings as required. Undertakes special projects as
requested by the General Manager. Company Description Are you a
