The Manager of Emerging Technology will build, lead, develop, and motivate a small, successful, high-performing team to further the technology-driven business concepts under development in the Tenney 110 Build Studio. This is a hands-on technology leadership position at the intersection of homeownership and technology (PropTech), focused on early-stage concept development for high-potential, high-growth opportunities.
Job Description:

  • Become the technology resident expert, thought leader, and evangelist on key topics at the intersection of homeownership and technology. (e. g., PropTech, Data Lakes, AI/ML, IoT, AR/VR/XR, Mobile, Cloud Computing, DeFi/Blockchain, and NFTs)
  • Contribute to ideation, new concept development, strategy and IP development through the connection of relevant technologies that are appropriately mature to known customer problems, targeting the creation of meaningful solutions with disruptive and sustainable impact.
  • Lead the MVP development for startup ventures (in collaboration with EIRs, product leaders, and operational experts) that makes optimal use of both mature and emerging technologies, making critical technical architecture decisions throughout the lifecycle of new business concepts.
  • Provide thoughtful technical analysis on various business concepts under development, including opportunities to build, buy, and invest.
  • Strategically build strong relationships with diverse, internal and external stakeholders (senior leaders, technologists, entrepreneurs, partners, and industry leaders across the startup studio, insurtech and insurance ecosystems). Cross-pollinate learnings, best practice and insights to drive continuous improvement within the homeownership category.
    Travel Requirements

        • Lead the engineering culture and focus on building and developing engineering talents that have the technical and business acumen to deliver compelling customer experiences.
