Position Title: Vice President of Sales - National AccountsLocation: Remote
Summary: The Vice President of Sales - National Accounts is a senior level sales leader responsible for the strategic development and tactical execution of targeted regional/national chain and multi-unit account growth within the retail and /or c-store market segment. This role is focused on delivering growth through selling the existing portfolio and supporting the chain requirements for customization of products in conjunction with product management, engineering and marketing cross functional disciplines, as well as tactical deployment of corporate resources. The VP of Sales - National Accounts will be responsible for managing a team of dispersed sales professionals.
Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit and continually develop attributes and characteristics of world class sales professionals
  • Actively participate and demonstrate leadership qualities in the corporate Strategic Planning Process and develop, prioritize and execute the corporate sales growth strategies specific to regional/national account chain sales objectives
  • Identification, development and management of targeted foodservice national account business base.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Company and competitive product line categories, technologies and related applications
  • Utilize all available assets and resources to create and direct marketplace demand through development and specification of Company products with all targeted national accounts
  • Engage, train, develop and coordinate with Regional Sales Management Team and representative agencies to develop and support both pre and post sale national account functions. Sales team is primarily a hunting function versus farming of current accounts.
  • Ongoing communication and collaboration with factory marketing, culinary and engineering resources specific to the development of new products and applications based upon market/client demand
  • Collaborate with key business partners (dealers, collaborative manufacturers, foodservice consultants and representative agencies) to successfully develop client relationship opportunities.
  • Maintain an aggressive national travel schedule (minimum of 70%+ travel away from home required)
  • Develop, manage and maintain travel and entertainment/selling budget
  • Regularly report fact and data based marketplace activity and competitive intelligence via CRM
  • Understand and enforce corporate sales policy
  • Active cross functional team participation and engagement with internal department heads and Sr. Level Corporate Management
  • Ability to manage customer expectations in the field and act as liaison between industry disciplines and Company interdepartmental managers
  • Effective skills in conflict management and resolution
    Requirements/Qualifications:
    • 10 years+ demonstrated regional or national account sales & marketing management experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field required, MBA Degree preferred
    • Must have prior experience in the food service industry
