Position OverviewWe're a leading global fitness company seeking a talented, passionate user experience manager to join our internal marketing team. Under the direction of the creative director, the user experience manager is responsible for leading a team that will collaborate with cross-function teams on designs from concept to launch. You and your team will create intuitive, engaging design solutions for a broad range of user experiences; including web UI/UX, product GUI design, emails, digital marketing campaigns, and anything else design-related.Our brands are globally recognized and will only accept the very best. Responsibilities: Design Process: Develops best-in-class digital experiences for the user experience groupPresents user experience interface concepts and design approaches clearly and convincinglyAbility to collaborate with front-end/back-end developers to concept and produce final designsDigital: Works with developers and creative director to determine appropriate workflowsProvides leadership and process enhancements as it relates to digital creation and workflowWorks with marketing managers, digital product managers and development teams to produce effective content for our global brand websites, digital interfaces, and marketing campaignsProject Management: Project management responsibilities including planning, evaluating, organizing, and integrating projectsRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsAssists marketing team as needed (in overseeing projects and project management)Develop Industry Knowledge and Network: Stays current on industry trends and stylesInvolved with peers and reports in professional development, classes or associationsStrives to constantly improve skill sets, interaction design best practices, etc.Marginal Job Functions:Completes special projects as requiredAssists marketing/sales teams with digital requestsProject Management and Leadership Functions:Manages staff scheduling and resource planningDevelops, mentors and leads Ux teamProject leadershipEngages in the typical responsibilities of planning, evaluating, organizing and integrating a projectEncourages other team members to provide accurate/timely content to support interactive workflow Skills:The successful candidate should possess the following skills/attributes:Ability to lead and create synergy between the user experience team and its partnersCoaching and mentoring of team membersStrong understanding of designing for product GUI and online digital experiencesExperience in providing design solutions that meet both creative and business needs of a projectKnowledge of business, technology and design strategies, tools, techniques and trendsThe flexibility to adjust to changes in project priorities and timelinesIdeally, you also posses:Experience in designing with/for Bootstrap front-end frameworksStrong visual design skillsFamiliarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScriptAgile experience Physical Demands / Work Environment:Physical Demands:--- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach above the shoulders, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Designers must have accurate vision and have the ability to discriminate subtle visual information.Work Environment:--- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate. The employee can at times be exposed to hazardous gasses and solvents as with mounting spray and modeling glues of various types. The employee can be at times exposed to hazardous gasses emitted from the welding and fabricating processes. They are also exposed to the risks associated with using: razor knives, cutting or sheering equipment, sanders, paint equipment, woodworking equipment. The employee occasionally performs work-related travel..

Education:A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing Communications or related fieldExperience:5-7 years' experience at an interactive firm, design studio, in-house marketing department, or advertising agencyProven ability to manage digital teams and respective processes to deliver best-in-class user experiencesDesigning compelling experiences for websites (mobile/responsive), product user interfaces and/or other digital initiativesA strong command of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts, branding and typographyCareful attention to detail and a solid understanding of user-centered design principlesCompetent with interface prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision as well as and Adobe Design Suite Solid understanding of the capabilities and constraints of platforms (web, smartphones, tablets), browsers, HTML, and JavaScriptAgency experience a plusOther Requirements:A recent digital portfolio of interaction design samples is required to applyMac-based: basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointHTML/CSS/JavaScript skills/knowledge/parameters preferredOccasional domestic travel may be required We're honored to be recognized by Forbes, yet again, as one of the #WorldsBestEmployersof 2021, based on a survey of 150,000 workers in 58 countries.
