    Position Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is recruiting for a Deputy Athletics Director/Chief of Staff. This position is responsible for assisting the Athletic Director in carrying out all assigned and auxiliary duties pertaining to the administration of the UW-Platteville Athletic Department. Such duties include, but are not limited to, strategic planning and assessment, fundraising and sponsorship cultivation, strategic partnership identification and cultivation, student-athlete development, budget planning and personnel oversight. Additionally, the Deputy Athletics Director/Chief of Staff will act as Chief of Staff for the Director of Athletics. Responsibilities: Community Partnerships
    - Develop strong, mutually beneficial partnerships within the local and regional community-- Donor stewardship
    - Maintain and grow relationships with assigned athletic department donors while actively cultivating new donors to meet and exceed the annual giving goal established by the Director of Athletics--

    Sponsorship
    - Work in tandem with marketing, gameday, and facilities personnel to expand the departments sponsorship portfolio in a sustainable, scalable way
    - Lead efforts cultivate and maintain relationships with sponsors of student-athlete development programming and other value added events such as a "Science in Sport Day" or "National Girls and Women in Sports Day Clinic" Corporate Engagement
    -Lead Corporate Engagement initiatives on behalf of the athletic department and director of athletics
    -Ensure athletic department corporate engagement is not only in- line with broader UW-P initiatives but in concert with them when able Branding/Communications
    - Assist the director of athletics with oversight of Marketing and Communications within the athletic department
    --- Develop annual marketing and branding campaigns in line with the broader university Campus partnerships
    --- Work with campus organizations and offices to maximize the expertise and offerings of campus into high impact opportunities for UW-P student athletes.--
    --- Athletics Liaison to Chief Diversity Officer and Campus Global Engagement Office Business Supervision and Forecasting--
    - Assist the Director of Athletics with oversight of all internal business functions of the Athletics Department including, but not limited to, 128, 102, 136, and 133 monies.--
    - Assist with the development of department strategic and annual goal
    - Develop an internship program to help the athletic department in various aspects. Program Supervision
    - Ensure the long-range viability of our intercollegiate athletic teams
    - Support head coaches in their recruitment of student-athletes
    - Assist the Director of Athletics with head coach contract renewal, negotiation, and hiring of new head coaches.-- General Administrative Duties
    - Represent the athletic department at conference, regional, national, and university meetings as requested by the athletic director
    - Assist the athletic director as needed, including all student-related issues and concerns that may arise
    - Create an environment of inclusion for individuals of all race, gender, religious affiliation, and sexual orientation within the entire athletic department and university.
    - Oversight of outdoor recreation activities and equipment
    - Responsibility for schedule support of the Director of Athletics when requested
    - Assist with general athletic department operations, gameday operations and facilities management-- Student-Athlete Development
    - Assist the director of athletics in overseeing the success of the department's student-athletes, including their academics, health, safety, and welfare--
    - Promotion of Pioneer Pride, a firm commitment to student-athlete academic success, and success in their lives after athletics
    - Assist in the development and implementation and assessment of a comprehensive student-athlete development program
    - Assist with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee What You'll Need to Succeed: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
    - Minimum of 3 years of leading / supervising student-athletes and personnel
    - Understand and support the Division III philosophy.
    - Ability to lead a large group of self-motivated people to accomplish goals;
    - Knowledge of NCAA and WIAC rules and requirements;
    - Ability to generate revenue for the department;
    - Comfortable with public speaking; and
