We are currently accepting applications for aIT Infrastructure Manager in our Corporate Office on the East side of Madison, WI, ranked the "Best Place to Live 2015 " byLivability.com.This position reports to our VP of IT. The IT Infrastructure Manager will oversee the Network Administrator and Network Support Specialists.

JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of the Infrastructure Manager is to provide strategic direction and drive the implementation of network and system technologies which support the stable operation of the organization's IT infrastructure on a 24x7 basis while directing the team's activities and ensuring that her/his staff provides excellent end user support. This position is ultimately responsible for network security, infrastructure road-mapping, budgeting, backup and disaster recovery, business continuity/high availability, network and system administration, hardware selection and implementation, support of virtual systems, mobile technologies, licensing compliance and all other systems related to the corporate infrastructure.

The company operates in multiple locations that continually expand. Current supported systems in a hyper-converged and hybrid cloud environment include Citrix (XenApp and XenDesktop), VMWare, Microsoft (SharePoint, NAV, O365, D365), HPE SimpliVity, Document Imaging, Plant Control Interface Systems, and several other systems. Proven success eliminating on-prem data center footprints and migrating infrastructure to the cloud in a manufacturing environment is critical. Experience in leading the charge to mobilize a workforce in a safe, secure and user-friendly way required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assess environments, develop and document long-term roadmap/vision for infrastructure organization and network in-line with the Corporate strategy, drive execution towards the vision, and broadcast the continued progress against the road-map
  • Understand latest technologies and proactively consider their use to provide a continued stable platform in the future hosting systems of differentiation and allowing nimbleness to respond to ever-increasing system demands to achieve the strategic objectives of the business
  • Continually review, acquire, utilize and oversee strategic partners to assist in achieving our road map in-line with Corporate Objectives
  • Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to establish problem resolution expectations and time frames, and other meaningful KPI to measure team's performance
  • Establish internal policies and procedures (related to ITIL or other framework) that outline how problems are identified, documented, assigned and corrected
  • Analyze performance of Service Desk activities/process and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance self-service options, stronger quality of service and prevent future problems
  • Plan and conduct performance appraisals of Infrastructure staff, administer disciplinary action, raises, bonuses and promotions when applicable
  • Prepare budget proposals and execute against final approved budget, assuring all renewal and license compliance's are met
  • Develop routine evaluations and upgrade cycles for existing software and hardware
  • Identify opportunities for improved proactive monitoring of systems& applications and implement
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and continually maximize the use and capabilities of the Service Desk system
  • Update and exercise Disaster Recovery regularly, identifying any deficiencies that must be addressed with future budgets and creating plans to mitigate; own the back-up and high-availability practices to assure 24x7 uninterrupted system availability and support
  • Develop the network team in areas to support the IT Vision/Roadmap and train the masses in appropriate and strong security practices
  • Communicate clearly all strategy to IT team, initiatives to business stakeholders, and be the main, constant voice during any issue mitigation times
  • Devise and enforce additional technology security practices throughout the entire organizations and ensure a technologically secure environment
  • Coordinate and contribute to the 24x7 on-call, off-hours support rotation
  • Oversee development and communication of knowledge base articles/guides for end-users and any applicable training to increase self-sufficiency among end-users
  • Train, coach and mentor all staff; manage the overall service desk activities and change control processes.
  • Travel to CQC facilities, training, and/or vendors.
  • Maintain regular attendance at work.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field and a minimum of 10 years of network administrator experience with a minimum of 5 years managing an infrastructure team.
    • Admin experience with: Citrix, VMWare, SharePoint and other Microsoft Solutions (NAV ERP, D365, O365), Active Directory, Windows Server, and Group Policy. HPE SimpliVity experience or other hyper-converged infrastructure a plus.
    • Seasoned people leadership, planning infrastructure department budgets, roadmaps and business continuity/disaster recovery plans
    • Experience with ITIL or similar methodology within a manufacturing environment
    • Must have a valid drivers license
