For over 100 years, our client has been manufacturing high-quality products - proudly made in the USA. We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join this team in their state-of-the-art facility.

The Senior Design Engineer will design electro-mechanical products and research opportunities for new products in this hybrid role. Products will have to be designed with various criteria in mind, including cost-effectiveness, user experience and environmental standards.

Senior Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design electro-mechanical products (PMDC, BLDC and universal motors and gearboxes), meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and cost constraints
• Work with and lead cross-functional teams to take a design from specification through design, development, test, and delivery
• Generate and review design documentation to ensure delivery of quality finished products
• Facilitate design reviews with Design Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance to ensure project goals are met, including cost, manufacturability, time and resource requirements
• Work with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing to determine root cause analysis and corrective action for product related issues and warranty returns
• Develop technical solutions to known production, reliability, or performance problems Senior Design Engineer Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical (BSEE) or Mechanical (BSME) Engineering
  • Six years electric motor and/or gear design experience
  • Experience in the development and testing of in-line, right-angle, and planetary gear drives
  • Fluent working knowledge of Solid Works, AutoCAD, MS Office, and ERP/MRP Business Software. Experience with gear design software
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific/technical journals and detailed product drawings
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering mathematical concepts for design calculations and analysis Senior Design Engineer Compensation/Benefits:
