Basin Precision Machining ("BPM") is the solutions-oriented contract machining division of Basin Industries, a private, diversified industrial company with 13 facilities across 5 countries.

BPM operates on a lean, just-in-time basis with a focus on quality, pricing, and delivery. We possess an arsenal of high-tech equipment and machine complex parts for the motorcycle and fluid power markets. We lead the industry with the first ATL iTEM400/600 dual shot thermal deburring system in the USA.

This position is primarily responsible for improving, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes that focus on safety and bring value to the organization. Individuals in this role are responsible for working with engineering and production team members along with area management to drive project completion and resolve issues.

Work Status: Must be a permanent United States resident (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify improvement projects working with Production Managers and present efficient solutions, including capital investment and ROI analysis.
• Evaluate and improve existing processes.
• Develop new CNC machining and automation processes.
• Research and design new tooling and work-holding.
• Utilize Plex ERP to set up routings, BOMS, and other documentation.
• Assist setup personnel with machine prove-out. KEY SKILLS:
  • Development and analysis of manufacturing processes, hand on exposure to robot machine tending automation a plus
  • 4+ axis mill, lathe, and hobb experience, hands on CNC operation preferred
  • G-Code programming experience, including macro writing, register manipulation, and other advanced NC programming topics
  • Mazak, Okuma, and Makino operation a plus
  • Recent Solidworks and Mastercam experience
  • Microsoft Office and ERP, Plex ERP a plus QUALIFICATIONS:
    • A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience in an engineering role - 5+ years
    • Proven Lean and Continuous Improvement achievements
    • Working knowledge of Systematic Approach (problem solving method)
