    • Contribute: You will focus on delivering scalable infrastructure that meets enterprise demands by building programmatic solutions for internal customers throughout IT. You'll also assist in efforts to improve and optimize operational workloads both on premise and in the cloud. Engineers in the Cloud & Platform Engineering space partner with one-another and across the org in pursuit of resilient outcomes to meet the needs of the business. In addition, you'll:
      • Continually evaluate the platforms we support for improvement. Create standards and guardrails to simplify the processes by which our internal IT customers interact with them. Enable automation or provide self-service, programmable interfaces whenever possible.
      • Investigate and aid other infrastructure service areas when troubleshooting service delivery or performance issues. Assure a high level of platform availability and provide prompt problem resolution. Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure and platforms.
      • Drive to deliver a great user experience with intuitive products and solutions. Gather and implement customer feedback, understanding industry trends, continuous learning, and build in quality.
      • Act as an effective steward of Sentry IT's infrastructure resources. Evaluate new features or solutions with a cost-conscious mindset. Research and recommend options to deliver the same or better platforms more efficiently - recognizing tradeoffs between operational tech debt and expense.
      • Work with modern technologies, such as:
        • Windows & Linux Operating Systems
        • Virtual Servers, Auto Scaled Instances, and containerized workloads
        • Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
        • Configuration Management tooling (Ansible, Chef)
        • Scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell)
        • Workflow & Collaboration Tooling - Docker, Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Opsgenie), Microsoft Teams
        • Amazon Web Services (e.g. EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, and serverless technologies)
        • Software defined networking (VPC's, Security Groups) in a multi-account AWS organization
