with production locations in Middleton and Monroe, WI, is looking
for a talented Controls Engineer. The Controls Engineer will
develop and program robot, PLC, and HMI controls software for
robotic packaging automation machinery. The Controls Engineer will
solve complex challenges to meet customer needs and will help
develop some of the newest technology available in robotic
packaging automation.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare Robot, PLC, Servo, HMI software from existing software
libraries.
- Confer with engineering personnel to prepare software
modifications as required.
- Interpret technical specifications and application
parameters.
- Assist in the commissioning of new machines on the shop
floor.
- Assist in the machine start-up at customer sites.
- Perform software modifications to existing machines.
- Assist installation team during install and commissioning of
new machines.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical hardware engineering
team to execute projects.
- Partner with all other departments as needed. -REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum Applied Science (2-year degree) with emphasis in
Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial
Maintenance, Industrial Automation or Robotic Programming. Employer
will also accept individuals with over 2 years full time working
experience in related fields.
- PLC programming, HMI development and troubleshooting
skills.
- General understanding of automation; including but not limited
to high-speed assembly machinery, SCADA / Gantry / Six-Axis
Robotics, FANUC robots and general automation technology.
- Fanuc Programming and PLC Programming (Allen Bradley)
experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and
principles.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
- Effective attention to detail, high degree of accuracy.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and
execution skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD and blueprint reading preferred.
