Then come join us!Job LocationTrek Waterloo HQJob DescriptionPosition Summary:This position is a QA engineer with skills in architecting, building, enhancing, and maintaining automated tests preferred. Experience with Selenium, API Automation AND client-based automation a plus. This position will work closely on a SCRUM team planning and executing the test portion of the sprint. Will assist in automation of those features once stable and reliable. Test responsibility is roughly 70-80% manual and 20-30% automation.The QA Team Member will:Be highly capable of deriving a robust test plan from requirements in an agile project.Work closely with developers and Product owners to ensure quality is covered across all areas of the system development and document within the chosen tool.Support UAT process.Architect, write and deliver automation tests with tools such as, but not limited to:SeleniumSmartBear - Test CompleteRest AssuredCreate test plans, test, debug as needed.Stay current with the latest API testing & checking technologies, patterns, and toolingWrite, run and support SQL queries to support testing initiativesFollow and promote Agile best practices for development such as continuous integration, unit and integration testing and code coverage analysisBe involved early to help prevent issues, defects, performance, and design inefficienciesActively participate in sprint ceremonies such as daily standup, Story pointing and retrospectivesHave good, effective English written and verbal communication skills to review solutions with business analysts; and communicate with business stakeholders and other team members.Be self-motivated and require minimal supervisionBe responsible for the quality and timeliness of your own workBe driven to ensure the Ascend application is reliable and of highest quality.Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Preferred2+ years of experience with Automation testing PreferredExperience with Performance and Load testing a plusExperience working with integrated and client-based systemsExceptional business & technical listening, oral, and written skillsExperience using Azure DevOps suite of toolsBasic database management using Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, and/or DB2.Trek Benefits:---Flexible and fun company culture---Competitive health care---PPO & HDHP medical plan options, Dental insurance, Vision insurance---Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)---Free life insurance & optional term life insurance---Competitive vacation package---401(k) with match and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP)---12 weeks of maternity leave with 100% pay---Flexible holiday schedule - 10 company holidays---Tuition Reimbursement up to $15,000!
