As an Opening or Closing Assistant Teacher at Leap Academy, 290 Corporate Drive, Madison, WI, you will help young minds explore, discover, and develop during the most important time of brain development in their lives. We are seeking a positive, people person to help us either start or finish our days in accordance with our play-based methodology. No experience? No problem. We are willing to train the right person for this role. Leap Academy is much more than a daycare center. We are an accredited early childhood center who provides a premier experience in all aspects of a child's development for children aged 6 weeks to 5-years old. Duties: - Provide a nurturing and respectful environment in which children can grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. - Assures that all children receive proper personal care and attention to their toileting/diapering, clothing and health needs. - Builds relationships with each child and is flexible and responsive to children's needs and interests. - Maintain a respectful, warm, engaging learning environment, encouraging curiosity and discovery. - Communicate effectively and often with families to ensure consistent feedback regarding child's learning experience Requirements: - Must be 18 years old and have completed a HS Diploma or GED, or working towards this. - Willingness to complete the required licensing trainings - Ability to work Monday-Friday afternoons until 5:00PM, mornings from 7:00-10:00AM, or four of the afternoons. No weekend hour or late nights.
