Position Overview The 2nd Shift Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities during the second shift in a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maintaining high standards of food processing and production. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the maintenance team during the 2nd shift, ensuring effective work distribution and team coordination. Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues that arise during production. Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Ensure compliance with safety and food safety regulations in all maintenance operations. Train and mentor maintenance personnel on best practices and safety protocols. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in maintenance or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of food processing, production, and packaging equipment. Experience in leading and managing a team effectively. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems. Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
