Job Description:

General Purpose Marcia Brenner Associates is seeking a professional, self-motivated, tech-savvy, committed individual to perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for a fast-paced, growing tech company. Preferred Qualifications The best candidate for this position will have superior communication skills and be able to express themselves clearly. Sensitivity to detail with excellence in accuracy will be critical to job performance success. Bookkeeping experience preferred. Must be self-motivated and have a desire to develop skills and the ability to quickly learn new technology. Previous administrative support experience, tech savvy, proficient in MS Office (MS Office 365), exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage special projects as assigned. Location Madison - West Side Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities -- initiates, possesses and maintains employee and customer records and invoices -- keeps management apprised of account status, identifies cost-effective solutions and may authorize expenditures -- assist with tasks related to customer software implementation -- triage inbound phone calls -- general clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing -- establishes and organizes filing system -- handle requests for information and data -- resolve administrative problems and inquiries -- assist with contracts and insurance documents -- proactively and effectively communicate with various internal departments -- open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence -- maintain office equipment and office supply inventories -- assist in implementation of internal processes and procedures Education and Experience -- computer skills and knowledge of relevant software -- experience developing forms and procedures to maintain the flow of information and correspondences. -- knowledge of accounting practices and software -- knowledge of operation of standard office equipment. -- knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping -- knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management Key Competencies -- customer service orientation -- planning and organizing -- prioritizing -- problem assessment and problem solving -- information gathering and information monitoring -- adaptability -- teamwork
