Job Description:

Our GREAT STATE TEAM is seeking a HYBRID Cash Application Specialist to join our team! As a Cash Application Specialist, you would be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving any discrepancies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.**Veterans and Military Spouses Encouraged to Apply**Duties include but are not limited to:Post consumer payments (mailed-in checks, ACH payments, bank cards, money orders, garnishments, walk-in, payments made by phone, etc.)Post client direct payments (third party and first party, manual and electronic)Post remittances from our attorneys.Opening/sorting of mailed in payments and other mail.Daily depositsParticipate in the month end process including working on Saturdays when the month ends over the weekend.Handling request for information and credit card chargebacksProcessing of all NSF (i.e., returned) transactions including NSFs reported to us by our attorneys and clients.Refund requests in the FACS system.Debtor payment correctionsHandling debtor and client correspondences ensuring they are distributed properly.Assist with Remittance process as requested.Returning debtor payments as necessaryBack up Responsibilities include:Participate in the client statement process.Assist other departments as needed.Additional Duties and Responsibilities:Consistently look for ways to improve current practices and procedures to save money, improve quality, and save time.Complete special projects or work duties as directed by manager.Adhere to all FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA and applicable laws.Adhere to all State Collection Service policies as stated in the Handbook.Represents State Collection Service with the professional and ethical work standards consistent with the mission and management policy of the company.Participate in department meetings.Write-up non-conformities and client issues as needed.Provides solutions to nonconformities and client issues.Represent company at off-site meetings and events.Participate in the month end process including working on Saturdays when the month end on a weekend.Will assist others within the department in their duties when necessary.Attend ACAs Code of Ethics training annually.Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:Attention to detail10 Key and typingAdhere to department workflow standardsProfessionalismAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentExcellent customer service skillsOrganizationExcellent communication skills-both written and verbalMicrosoft suite product knowledgeWe Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package:Competitive benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, 401K w/employer match, and HSA/Flexible spending accountsPaid time off starting at 90 days and annual profit sharing7 Paid Holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor DayFamily Friendly EventsWellness Programs/Gym ReimbursementAll necessary equipment and technical support provided* Benefits eligibility is dependent upon FTE Status and Position*All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and references.Your next great career move could be a click away.
