Job Description:

• Assists with running and maintaining the financial forecasting model.
  • Includes in-depth valuation modeling
  • Strategic investment modeling
  • Regulatory modeling - including optimal capital structure management
  • Supports investor relations activities.
    • Prepares investor presentations and related communications in dealing with equity analysts
    • Ability to create various earnings growth models
    • Assists with strategic investor relations planning
    • Contributes accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, prepares and completes action plans, implements production, identifies trends, and determines system improvements.
    • Prepares supportive analysis for dividend recommendations, equity valuation, shareholder returns, and rate-of-return forecasts.
    • Tracks rating agency benchmarks by performing financial modeling.
    • Prepares analysis for unregulated subsidiaries.
    • Assists with the financial portions of rate cases and other regulatory filings.
    • Establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
    • Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of complex financial reporting and tax structures.
    • Assists with special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience
      • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
      • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
      • A minimum of five years of experience preferably with or in a publicly traded company and/or public accounting.
        • Regulated utility experience a plus Knowledge and Skills
          • Advanced budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analytical skills.
          • Strong understanding of capital markets, including debt and equity.
          • Advanced understanding of GAAP and SOA.
          • Advanced ability to research accounting pronouncements and apply them to the Company.
          • Advanced ability to identify accounting issues that may require specific disclosures or accounting treatment.
          • Effective analytical, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
          • In-depth understanding of financial statements.
          • Able to conceptualize problems and formulate acceptable methods of evaluation.
          • Strong project management and organizational skills, with focused attention to detail.
