CFS is engaged with a top client who is looking to add a Staff Accountant to join the team! This role will be on the corporate accounting team for a large manufacturer. Once it is safe to return to the office, this role will only need to be in the office 1-2 days/week. Responsibilities: --- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports --- Involved with financial statement process --- Prepare journal entries --- Prepare reconciliations --- Special ad-hoc projects to support Assistant Controller, GL Manager, and Corporate Controller --- Assist with process and systems improvements --- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets --- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency Qualifications: --- 1+ years of accounting experience, public accounting a benefit --- Bachelors in Accounting --- CPA preferred --- Working experience with SAP a plus --- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
